Listed below is our code of conduct.
We are about respect!
For each other, and players outside the guild. Always keep in mind that everything you do in the game while on your Solstice characters reflects back upon Solstice as a whole.
Playtime:
Please respect everyone's playtime. Asking for help is encouraged, begging is not. Try to group with people within a few levels of your own.
Guild Chat/Party Chat/Vent:
Respect each other. Plain and simple.
This includes no swearing or derogatory language in /gchat or in a public group channel on vent. We have people from all walks of life here, and many of us have families or young children in the background who may not want to see or hear this kind of language. We are mature and enjoy our fair share of silliness, but use discretion. We love to have fun and laugh like idiots, and we have great senses of humor. However, if you step out of line in chat, you will be getting a talking to, and all officers have the discretion to gkick someone if things get out of hand.
The Guild:
You and anyone playing your character will represent Solstice. Please respect everyone, and be aware that what you do affects the entire guild’s reputation.
Take your whining elsewhere:
We play the game because we actually enjoy it, while sometimes things may get on top of you, we don't want to hear perpetual complaining about a nerf / ninja / old guild discrepancy / instance pug ninja /anything.
Questions, Complaints, Issues:
If there's something you don't quite understand, or an issue you think someone should be made aware of, or a grand idea that will make something better in the guild, please feel free to talk to any officer about it. Posting about it on the forum does help, but talking in real time is even better. Whispers, in game mail, on vent. We're here to help you.
Alts:
Alts are welcome! However do not expect to get them power leveled by other guildies. If you choose to have a lower level character, be prepared to level them to 70 with other lowbies in the guild, PUG’s, soloing, and friends. If at some stage down the track you decide to leave the guild, your alts should go with you.
Friends and family:
Friends and family members are welcome to join but they must also agree to the guidelines, talk to an officer; it’s our way of seeing if someone fits in the guild. And if they’re joining to raid they must fill out a raiding application.
Save yourself for us:
Raiders are prohibited from running any raid instance (with a reset timer of greater than 24 hours that is currently being run by organized, scheduled guild groups). If you are on a team, save yourself for that team. You can go with another guild/group with expressed permission from the GUILD MASTER only. This permission will not be unreasonably withheld. (aka, as long as you ask, you’ll almost always get a yes).
Be active:
Characters that are inactive for more than one month may be removed from the guild unless prior notice is given.
Naming:
Character names should be taken seriously. Please remember that this is an RP server, you chose to play here...and Solstice would like to maintain a reputation as an outstanding member of the servers society. As such, all character names are subject to review by the officer group. Names that are determined by the majority of the officer group as being a bad representation of the guild will be asked to change their name or remove themselves from the guild. In the event that a character name is flagged as inappropriate, the player will be given one week to accomplish one or the other before they are removed.
